30 MILES OF CRAZY! 33: BLUCIFER!

… and so here we go again. Not being home in the studio is not going to stop me making this post. No, not indeed! SCIENCE IS GOOD!

So, it’s Friday with a new 30 MILES OF CRAZY! (#33). First one with some sort of COLOR as well! This week: BLUCIFER!! …. or “Yes, Virginia, There IS a Giant Demonic Horse statue outside of the Airport.”

Yes.. this is a real thing and the subject of some controversy here in Denver (“Do we REALLY want people to see a giant Hellhorse with glowing red eyes as the last thing people see in Denver before they fly away?”) ‘El Mesteno‘ (or ‘The Blue Mustang‘) was the creation of sculptor Luis Jimenez and is another cog in the endless conspiracy theories surrounding Denver International Airport (D.I.A.) (there’s another comic strip just about them. I bet the Lizard people love Blucifer, taking him out riding at night… cause why not?)

… which brings us to the Musical Accompaniment as well as a couple bizzaro videos about Blucifer and D.I.A.

For my part, I love Blucifer and wish that I could display it in my backyard… for, ya’know,… the kids.

30 MILES OF CRAZY! 32.5: PSA – Back to Boston!

Here in Colorado, the weather is pretty nice (close to 60 yesterday), very little snow, and a lot of legal weed. In New England, I’m sure there is plenty of snow, freezing temperatures, and soul cutting frigid wind…

So, Kelly and I will be back in Boston this weekend cause we are truly miss that.

Plus, Denver is starting to smell like an old hippie.

30 MILES OF CRAZY! 32: NYE 2013… with Top Hats

… and so here we go again. It’s Friday with a new 30 MILES OF CRAZY! (#32). This week: NYE 2013… with Top Hats… or A NIGHT AT THE THEATRE

Here we go with a small glimpse of our night at Denver’s historic Oriental Theatre for the Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, Munly & the Lupercalians, and A. Tom Collins show. Of course, Top Hats were mandatory. This was an event, a celebration, and we will not dress like common farmers, Lemon!

Since it was a concert, there are several musical accompaniments! The first being Munly & the Lupercalians (Panel Two) which have always been amazing each time we’ve seen them. It really says something about us that I lean towards them while K always prefers Slim Cessna’s Auto Club (Panel Five). I also need to include A. Tom Collins (who I’d never seen before and put on a great show.) … and let’s do an EXTRA SPEED BONUS Fourth musical accompaniment since I love this song. I can do that since I’m running this show.

God… I really need to spend more time practicing on my banjo

So, here we go! NYE 2013!

30 MILES OF CRAZY! On the Road: BOSTON! 30: A Walk Through Boston

It’s Friday! A new 30 MILES OF CRAZY! (#30) Part 6 (of 6) of ‘On the Road: Boston!’ This week: ‘A Walk Through Boston’… or THE HO– USE OF PERSEVERANCE.

So, this is it. The last installment (for now) of 30 MILES OF CRAZY!: On the Road. In doing the last installment of this particular city, a look at some of the sites of the city that I still call my home. It’s just don’t live there anymore.

Next week: Back to Denver and Colfax Avenue.

Now the utterly appropriate Musical Accompaniment for this week… and GO!
