Friday! Time for another ‘Tru-ish’ tale of Colfax and the Mile High City. A new 30 MILES OF CRAZY! (#53)! This week: Neal Cassady or… ANOTHER CASE OF SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION!
Neal Cassady is a Beat Icon and Mile High native… but I’ll let the comic tell you about him if you are L7 on the details (oh yeah… I went there.) Even better… Check out the new documentary ‘Neal Cassady: The Denver Years’ (done by the incredible Heather Dalton… who also helped me with this strip…) which is premiering June 26th (next Thursday at 7PM!) at the SIE Film Center in scenic City Park-ish East Colfax. Be there for all the historic docu-drama hijinx. It’s a ‘real cool scene’ as the kids all say… (wait, they don’t say that anymore??)
Plus… My artwork is featured in the film!!!! In many places… and animated!!! SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION!!! It will be magical if you like that sort of thing. Be there or… well, you know the rest.

It’s Friday once again! Time for another ‘tru-ish’ tale about Colfax and the Mile High City. A new 30 MILES OF CRAZY! (#51)! This week: Creeps Always Wrong… or… I DON’T THINK THAT WORD MEANS WHAT YOU THINK IT MEANS…
“So… What’s with all the stories happening in restrooms, Karl?”
I honestly have no clue. People seemed to be generally creeped out by bar restrooms (and I don’t blame them at all. Despair and fetid illness live there) … and that’s what pretty much makes the best stories. … Or it could just be that many of my friends really do seem to hang out in public restrooms a lot. Let’s make that a 60/40 bet.
Also… if my math is right (which is always subject to debate as I’m sorrily sad with that skill)… I think the 30 MILES first anniversary is right around the corner. Wonder what we’ll get? Maybe a collection?
